It’s so important to have a well-maintained and quality semi-truck suspension system. This system is responsible for providing drivers with an even and smooth drive. Moreover, this system maintains the stability of a heavy-duty truck on the road. If your semi-truck suspension system is not in its best condition, this can lead to decreased control in emergency situations as well as on-road accidents, delayed drives and more.

Motorplex is committed to ensuring your truck and your entire fleet’s suspension systems are well maintained. Here, we share three warning signs a suspension system may need maintenance or semi-truck repair.

Bumpy Ride

Again, the purpose of your suspension system is to ensure your truck is stable and drives well. If you notice that your ride feels bumpy or it’s hard for you to control your truck, this is a sure sign. It is likely that your truck’s suspension system needs repair.

With a bumpy ride, this often indicates that we need to look at your shock absorbers and struts within your suspension system. Regardless of the problem, Motorplex will use our professional diagnostic services to resolve the issue and get your truck back on the road safely.

Leaning Truck

If you notice that your truck is leaning to one side when you are parked, turning, or changing lanes, this is another sign your suspension system may not be working as it should. You may see that a corner of your truck looks low or like the back of it is leaning backwards. Problems with shocks and leaf springs could be the culprit.

Call Motorplex to help determine the cause and provide semi-truck repair services! We are equipped to work on all vehicle makes and models.

Poor Steering Response

Perhaps one of the most obvious signs of a suspension system issue is having a truck that veers to one specific side while you’re driving. This is different than the truck leaning. In this case, when your tire movements do not align with (or resist) your steering direction, this is a poor steering response. When this happens, you’ll want to check your tires first. But if your tires look good, then it’s time to bring your truck in for an inspection. Damage to your tie rods, control arms or shock absorbers may be what is causing the veering.
